Back from New York

Oh my goodness...we just got home from a whirlwind trip to NY to visit my folks. It was so good to see them and we were able to celebrate my Mom's birthday with her while we were there. It's funny because I love to visit my parents, but I also get a little sad when I see all that I've missed since my last visit. Do you know what I mean? It's definitely the thing I dislike the most about living so far away from them. We focus on the positive though and enjoy the time we have with them while we are there!!!

I'm getting so excited about the holidays! We are decorating today and tomorrow and I'm loving seeing the old homestead all decked out for Christmas. I will post some pics this week to share with you. If you click on over to the TDIPT Mercantile Blog you can take a peek at several wonderfully prim Christmas homes. :-)

I'm finishing up my offerings for the Mercantle this week and hope to have a very special angel to share with you Tuesday on Ebay, as well. I can be so darn picky when it comes to the finishing touches...I sure hope I can get her settled in by then. I would really love to share one last angel with you for the holidays. She's been floating around in my dreams for weeks!!

I almost forgot...my Believe Angel is ending this evening on Ebay ! I hope you'll be able to take a peek at her before she's gone.

Wishing you a blessed evening!! Susan

Tuesday, December 2nd

Good Tuesday morning!! I am LOVING these cooler temps we are getting here in Hotlanta! hee hee The Weather Channel is predicting SNOW flurries here. Now, growing up in upstate NY I can say that what they call snow flurries in the South is what we would call a light dusting in NY. haha I love it all the same though. :-)

I'm so thankful for the inspiration and motivation that the Good Lord has given me these past few weeks. As most of you know, I went through quite a dry spell over the summer and early fall. That was such a weird feeling...I wanted to create, I just couldn't bring anything to the table. It was like my hands and head were willing, but my heart wouldn't contribute. Hmmph...very frustrating.

Here is a sneak peek at my latest Angel...Believe. She will be listed on Ebay this evening. I had so much fun designing and creating her and those wings...I LOVE THEM! I was able to mix in a little creative woodworking by creating her wings from reclaimed wood. What do you think?

I am so honored to have been given two different awards this week from a couple of sweet ladies I've met out here in blogland! First, Karen of Primitive Kountry Happenings bestowed this wonderful award.

And then Primgrl1 gave me this little beauty...

Thank you so much! I will be working on my list to pass these two gems along.

I hope you have a blessed and wonderful day today. Stay warm and I'll chat with you again soon...
