It has been so great to be back in the studio. I'm having so much fun getting caught up on my pattern writing. I didn't realize until after Bella and Bethany were released that it has been THREE YEARS since I've released a new pattern!

Moving from sketchpad to design table

I'm busy working on some sketches for new dollies for the launch of the Prim Nest site, March 1st. I have so many sweet dollies on paper, and I'm having a hard time moving from the sketchpad to the design table. I'm not sure what the hold up is, but I've found that rushing it is usually a mistake for me. I'm going to continue sketching and I'm sure one of these sweet dollies will push me to the table to get started sewing. lol

Other than sketching, hubby and I have been enjoying helping our son and his fiancee get their new home ready for their big day. They purchased their home January 21st and are busy painting and performing minor repairs. Congratulations, sweet family!

2011 is going to be a good year

2010 was a little less than fulfilling for me due to a back injury, but I'm determined to feel better this year. I'm committed to finding relief so I can get back to my joy...creating. It's been difficult to sit for more than 15 minutes at the sewing table or my painting table, so my dolls have been nothing more than sketches in 2010. Those sketches are ready to come off the page! I'm excited to announce that I have been accepted to participate in a new selling venue..The Prim Nest...which will be launching March 1st. I will share more when we get closer to the launch. For now, I'm busy creating again and I'm loving it!

La Catrina

Well, I'm finally 'back in the saddle' working in the studio!!! Wow...it's been a heck of a summer and I, for one, am so happy to see Fall arrive. I love this time of year, don't you? I'm feeling very creative again and not only in the studio. I've been busy cooking and baking for the family and loving every domestic second of it.

I wanted to share some very exciting news with you...my Fairy Godmother art doll is going to be in the Show and Tell section of the Winter issue of Art Doll Quarterly!!



I don't know if I can wait until the November 1st issue date for my copy to arrive. I might have to shuffle down to the Barnes and Noble and pick one up. :-)

It's been ages since I spent any time with this sweet gal and I am so pleased with the way La Catrina finished up. She's available on Etsy tonight!

Ahhhhh...September is such a BUSY CRAZY month!

Well, Hello, my old friend! It's been AGES since I've been out here to share with you. September is probably one of the busiest months in our family, with birthday celebrations each week. Happy 22nd Birthday to our twin sons, Matthew and Patrick. Happy 23rd Birthday to you, sweet daughter Alyssa! Happy Birthday to my sweet Hubby, Roger and to our son, Stephen who just turned 24! Yesterday, we celebrate the 1st birthday of our Number 1 grandson, Sawyer. What a blast. Pat and Courtney did a GREAT job planning a party with the entire family and it was lots of fun reconnecting with everyone!!

Happy 1st Birthday to our Sweet Grandbaby Boy!!!



I have some new Halloween and Fall creations in the works right now in the studio that I will be sharing with you later this week.
